Steps To Renting

View Our Available Properties

View the current available rentals. To request a video walk through tour of the property you are interested in, email rent@louisebeckproperties.com. To schedule a tour of an occupied property, call 919-401-9300 ext 1. Please note, our office is closed on the weekends, we will respond to requests made over the weekend on Monday.

  • We recommend you drive by and see the location and outside of the property, prior to scheduling a showing. This policy saves your time and ours by reducing the chance that you will not like the home or the area prior to viewing the inside.
Step 1

Fill out an Application

After viewing the inside of the property, by video or in-person tour, complete an application online. Once you have completed the application you will need to submit financial documentation. To submit, you can reload the application on the app, email the documentations to rent@louisebeckproperties.com, or fax it to 919-636-4848. For undergraduates whose parents will be paying their rent, your parents will need to complete an endorsement form found on the Documents and Forms page.

  • Every person who is planning to live in the unit must fill out a separate application and each applicant must pay the $85 application fee.
  • Applications will not be processed until all fees and applicable financial documentation has been received and all information is complete.
Step 2

Processing the Application

Our leasing agents will begin processing your application as soon as they receive all the required information and documentation. Common delays are:

  • Providing no landlord contact information. Please try to provide both email and phone numbers for your previous landlords. Also, our requests are often expedited if they first speak to their current tenants.
  • Incomplete or unclear financial documentation will delay processing. be sure your documentation has identifying information on it including your name and the company name. Examples of accepted Financial Documentation include: pay stubs, tax forms, savings, or offer letters. For students, it is often grants, loans, scholarships, or letters of endorsement (Undergrads only). Often screenshots are unusable as we must meet our fiduciary duty to the owner and obtain acceptable documentation.
Step 3

Sign a Lease

Following approval of your application, a lease signing will be set up via DocuSign – an electronic process via email. Review the lease carefully prior to signing. If you have any questions, contact one of our leasing agents.

  • Everyone on the lease must complete the DocuSign process
  • Security deposit and any other applicable fees (Pet Fee) are due at lease signing.
  • You may request an appointment to sign the lease at our office.
  • Don’t be shy, ask questions!
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the lease has been executed.
  • Pay your security deposit.
Step 4

After the Lease is Signed

  • Establish utilities in your name. We will provide you the list of applicable utilities. It is your responsibility to ensure they are in your name on the day your Lease begins.
  • Pay your prorated rent and any fees (Pet Fee) prior to picking up keys
